Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to hold the Champions Trophy every 4 years.
The ICC has confirmed that the tournament will now take place every four years, featuring the top eight ODI teams from around the world. This decision aims to provide cricket fans with the opportunity to enjoy top-quality performances from their favorite players.
Additionally, the ICC announced that the Women’s Champions Trophy will be introduced in 2027, and it will be played in the T20 format.
ICC Officials Decide to Hold Champions Trophy After Consultation
ICC officials made this decision after consultations in a recent meeting, and feedback will also be sought from all member countries.
Some measures to bring new changes to cricket are also under consideration.
The decision to use neutral venues for Pakistan-India matches remains unchanged for now, with no revisions in sight.
Despite all efforts by the ICC, no breakthrough has been achieved with the Indian cricket board.
