Dubai – In the second match of the ICC Champions Trophy, the Indian cricket team equaled the record of losing 11 consecutive tosses.
India’s streak of losing tosses began during the 2023 World Cup final when Rohit Sharma lost the toss against Australia. Following that, during the three-match Test series against South Africa, captain KL Rahul lost the toss in all three matches.
During the Sri Lanka series, Rohit Sharma again lost three consecutive tosses. Later, in the home series against England, he lost three more tosses in a row.
Now, in the ICC Champions Trophy match in Dubai, Rohit Sharma lost the toss yet again, bringing India’s total to 11 consecutive toss defeats.
With this, India has equaled the record set by the Netherlands, which also lost 11 consecutive tosses in international cricket.
