Dubai: The semifinal lineup for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is almost complete. From Group A, New Zealand and India have secured their spots in the final four, while from Group B, Australia and South Africa have qualified for the semifinals. However, the match between South Africa and England still holds an element of uncertainty.

The third and final match of Group B will take place on Saturday at National Stadium. The day-night clash between South Africa and England will determine the second semifinalist from the group.
On Friday, the match between Australia and Afghanistan at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium was washed out due to rain, resulting in both teams earning one point each. This gave Australia a total of four points, securing their place in the semifinals, while Afghanistan reached three points.
A crucial match will take place in Karachi on Saturday. South Africa currently has three points, while England has yet to earn a single point, having lost both of their matches. However, if England defeats South Africa by 174 runs, Afghanistan will qualify for the semifinals based on a superior net run rate.

South Africa previously defeated Afghanistan in Karachi, while their match against Australia in Rawalpindi was washed out, earning them one point. On the other hand, England suffered defeats against both Australia and Afghanistan in Lahore.
