Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh, has offered his coaching services to improve the Pakistan cricket team.
Following consecutive defeats against New Zealand and India, Pakistan, the host of the Champions Trophy, has been eliminated from the tournament. As a result, former Pakistani cricketers, analysts, and the public have been heavily criticizing the team.

Amidst this criticism, former cricketer and actor Yograj Singh has extended a coaching offer to Pakistan, claiming that he can transform the team into one of the best within a year. According to Indian media outlet NDTV, Yograj Singh, who runs a cricket academy in India, not only defended the Pakistan team in his statement but also criticized former Pakistani cricketers for their harsh remarks.
Yograj Singh stated that former Pakistani players should be ashamed of using such harsh words against their own team. He confidently added, “Give me the team for coaching, and I will build a strong squad within a year—so good that everyone will remember it.”
Emphasizing the importance of passion, he said, “I dedicate 12 hours daily to my academy. Making big claims is easy, but one must shed blood and sweat for their country.”

Taking a dig at former Pakistani cricket legends, Yograj Singh urged Wasim Akram to leave commentary and return to Pakistan to train young players. He questioned how many former cricketers were genuinely willing to help Pakistan win the World Cup, suggesting that if they were not committed, they should step aside.
He further asked, “Is there anyone like Imran Khan who will mentor young cricketers?”

Yograj Singh also criticized Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Shoaib Akhtar for discussing Pakistan’s talent, asserting that the country is full of talent. He reminded them that they too were once recognized and supported by someone before becoming great cricketers.
Expressing his disapproval of negative comments about players, Yograj Singh stated, “I do not like anyone speaking negatively about their own country’s players.”
It is worth noting that Yograj Singh played one Test match and six One Day Internationals for India during the 1980-81 tours of Australia and New Zealand.
