Lahore: England cricket team captain Jos Buttler has expressed excitement and readiness for their first match.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Buttler said that the team had a great training opportunity here and also conducted training sessions in Abu Dhabi before arriving in Lahore.
He praised Jamie Smith, calling him a talented player who is ready to take on responsibility. The England captain also mentioned that he is satisfied with his form and eagerly looking forward to the Champions Trophy, acknowledging that the conditions here will be different.
Buttler highlighted that several England players have previously played in the PSL and have shared their experiences. He stated that Australia is a strong team, and it will be an exciting match for which England is fully prepared.
He also noted that Australia will miss their three key fast bowlers, but they always play attacking cricket. Looking ahead to the next match against Australia, Buttler remarked, “It will be a great contest.”
Additionally, he expressed excitement about playing in Pakistan, saying, “The pitch looks good. We saw high-scoring matches in the tri-series here, and we have planned accordingly.”
