Dubai (Web Desk) – The Indian cricket team has arrived in Dubai to participate in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The team traveled from Mumbai and landed at Dubai International Airport, where a large crowd of cricket fans gathered to welcome them. Even airport staff, who were cricket enthusiasts, flocked to catch a glimpse of the cricket stars.
This time, the Indian team has traveled without their personal staff, as the Indian Cricket Board recently imposed a ban on players bringing personal chefs and hairdressers. As a result, Indian players will have to rely on the facilities provided during the tournament. However, fans at the airport did notice the absence of the player’s personal staff, who were previously seen managing the stars’ appearances and movements.
One fan at the airport jokingly remarked, “This time, the Indian stars will focus on cricket, not their hairstyles!”
The Indian squad includes several prominent stars, such as captain Rohit Sharma, former captain Virat Kohli, all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, along with wicketkeepers Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. Other key players include Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Shreyas Iyer, and fast bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.
The team will have a practice session at the ICC Academy on Sunday afternoon, while some players will participate in a physical training session at the hotel. India’s first match is scheduled for February 20 against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This venue was chosen after the Indian board refused to send the team to Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh team, led by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, has already begun practicing at the ICC Academy. On Monday, Pakistan Shaheens will face Bangladesh in a warm-up match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The much-anticipated match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India remains one of the tournament’s biggest highlights. It’s worth noting that this is the first major ICC event hosted by Pakistan since the 1996 World Cup, which has significantly boosted excitement among cricket fans.
