During the Tri-Nation series, police arrested four suspects involved in selling fake match tickets. According to police officials, strict checks are conducted to ensure the security of fans and verify tickets, preventing anyone with counterfeit tickets from entering. They also clarified that once a match ticket is scanned, it becomes invalid for reuse.
During routine checks at a Tri-Nation series match, police apprehended a citizen attempting to enter the stadium with a fake ticket. Upon questioning, the individual identified several people involved in the scam. Following surveillance, police arrested the suspects from different locations.
The arrested individuals—Sultan, Izzatullah, Jamal, and Fareed—were found selling photocopied fake tickets. Police recovered the counterfeit tickets from them and have registered cases against the suspects.
