Dubai – A video from Karachi’s National Stadium recently went viral, showing flags of the countries participating in the Champions Trophy, but India’s flag was notably absent. A controversy sparked on social media, with claims that India had put Pakistan’s name on its jersey, but Pakistan did not display India’s flag in its stadiums. Indian social media users continued to ask, “Where is India’s flag?”
On the other hand, sources from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed that India will not be coming to Pakistan for its matches during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Flags were only displayed for the countries that are playing matches in Karachi’s National Stadium, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

According to sources, the Indian team will be playing their matches in Dubai, and Bangladesh’s team is also currently in Dubai, which is why Bangladesh’s flag was also not present in the stadium. Only the flags of the countries whose teams are playing in Pakistan were displayed.
In this regard, India Times reported that PCB sources had informed them that the ICC advised the PCB to display only four flags during the matches: one for the ICC, one for PCB, and two for the countries playing the match.

It is worth noting that the Indian cricket team had refused to come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, leading the International Cricket Council (ICC) to change the tournament to a hybrid model. Now, India will play all of its matches in Dubai.
