Following his injury in the first match of the ICC Champions Trophy, Pakistan’s opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the tournament. Imam-ul-Haq has been included in the Pakistan squad as his replacement. The ICC event’s technical committee has approved Imam-ul-Haq’s inclusion, which consists of Wasim Khan, Usman Wahla, Sarah Edgar, and Shaun Pollock.

It is worth mentioning that Imam-ul-Haq, who has replaced Fakhar Zaman in the squad, was part of the Pakistan Shaheens in the warm-up matches before the start of the Champions Trophy. He played a brilliant inning of 98 runs against South Africa in one of the matches.
Fakhar Zaman sustained an injury during Pakistan’s match against New Zealand yesterday, forcing him to leave the field. Although he briefly returned, he had to leave again and appeared to be in pain while batting. As a result of his injury, Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel opened the innings for Pakistan. The team management reported that Fakhar Zaman is experiencing discomfort in his chest.
“Allah is the Best Planner” – Fakhar Zaman
After being ruled out of the Champions Trophy, Fakhar Zaman released a statement expressing his disappointment. Taking to social media, he wrote that representing Pakistan on a big stage is an honor and a dream for every cricketer.

“Unfortunately, I have been ruled out of the Champions Trophy, but there is no doubt that Allah is the best planner,” he said, while also extending his best wishes to the Pakistan team.
