The PSL 10 draft ceremony was held on January 13 last month at the Hazuri Bagh in the Royal Fort of Lahore. The drafting of Pakistan Super League 10 began with the event’s biggest category, Platinum, in which Lahore Qalandars legally had the right to select the first player and Karachi Kings had the right to select the second player.
Lahore Qalandars started their selection in the Platinum category with New Zealand batsman Daryl Mitchell, while Karachi Kings selected Australian aggressive opener David Warner.
PSL 10: Why will there be fewer matches in Karachi this year?
Karachi will have fewer matches in the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League, the reason for which has also been revealed. In the past, Karachi has been given fewer matches in PSL 10 due to a lack of interest from spectators because last year, the PCB and the franchise suffered financial losses due to a lack of ticket sales in Karachi.
Sources say that most of the franchises were also not in favor of playing more PSL matches in Karachi this year, and Quetta’s home ground has also been shifted from Karachi in the tenth edition of PSL. Quetta’s home ground will be Rawalpindi and Lahore in the tenth edition of PSL. In addition, the number of matches in Rawalpindi has been increased, considering the record of good ticket sales and a number of spectators.
