In the final of the Tri-Nation Series, Pakistan set a target of 243 runs for New Zealand to win. In the final played in Karachi, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. Pakistan’s innings started disappointingly as Fakhar Zaman was out after scoring 10 runs, followed by Saud Shakeel with 8 runs and Babar Azam returning to the pavilion after scoring 29 runs.
Rizwan and Salman once again showcased their skills, adding 88 runs to the total; however, the captain got out after scoring 46 runs, and the vice-captain scored 45 runs. Tayyab Tahir also contributed 38 runs, but the subsequent batsmen could only take the score to 242. The entire team was bowled out in the final over. New Zealand’s Will O’Rourke took four wickets, while Bracewell and Santner took two wickets each.
