During the toss, the New Zealand captain announced the inclusion of Kyle Jamieson and Rachin Ravindra in the playing XI. Meanwhile, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto mentioned that had they won the toss, they would have opted to field first and also confirmed two changes in their squad.
This is the second match for both New Zealand and Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy. New Zealand won their first match against Pakistan, while Bangladesh suffered a defeat against India.
Notably, Pakistan’s fate in the Champions Trophy also depends on the outcome of this match. If Bangladesh wins, Pakistan’s chances of making it to the semi-finals could improve.
