In the second match of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India defeated Bangladesh by six wickets. Chasing their third Champions Trophy title, India made an ideal start to their campaign this year. This victory has placed them second in Group A, just behind New Zealand in terms of net run rate. New Zealand secured a commanding 60-run victory over the hosts and defended champions Pakistan on Wednesday.
On the points table, Bangladesh is in third place, while Pakistan is at the bottom with a negative net run rate.
With only two matches played in Group A, every match remains vital for teams in the Champions Trophy. If Pakistan wants to stay in the tournament, they must not only win all their remaining matches but also secure a big-margin victory against India on February 23.
