Dubai: Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has accused the Pakistan cricket team of being inconsistent. While discussing Pakistan’s performance on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra stated that the team’s weakness is nothing new but rather a long-standing issue.
He mentioned that although Pakistan is the defending champion of the Champions Trophy, the reality is that they struggle under pressure. Pakistan lost to the USA in the T20 World Cup 2024 and failed to qualify for the second round. Aakash Chopra further added that Pakistan will likely feel the pressure in the upcoming Champions Trophy due to their recent poor performances in ICC events.
Pakistan’s Unpredictability and Pressure Crumbles are Key Weaknesses: Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra noted that Pakistan’s performance graph fluctuates significantly, as they rarely maintain consistency. He compared the team’s unpredictability to the country’s overall situation, where ups and downs are common, and this is reflected in their cricket as well. The former Indian cricketer emphasized that Pakistan is an unpredictable team, and their tendency to crumble under pressure is a significant weakness. He posed a critical question: “Can Pakistan overcome this issue?” since the team will be under immense pressure during the tournament.
